BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - MEDIA

Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a flair for business development in the media industry? We're on the lookout for a Media Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a robust media background, exceptional sales and negotiation acumen, and a proven track record in driving business growth. As the Media Business Development Manager, you'll be the architect of new business opportunities, client relationships, and revenue upsurge.


Responsibilities:


New Business Development:


  • Identify and relentlessly pursue new business opportunities, expanding our client base and propelling revenue growth.
  • Undertake market research, industry analysis, and lead generation to pinpoint potential clients.
  • Weave a strategic sales plan and cultivate a prospect pipeline, steering towards the attainment of new business goals.
  • Coalesce with the marketing team to craft compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations.


Client Relationship Management:


  • Forging and perpetuating robust client relationships, you'll be the trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Deconstruct client objectives, target audience, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to tailor bespoke solutions.
  • Keep the wheels of communication spinning with clients through frequent meetings, ensuring they stay abreast of updates, concerns, and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain an eye on opportunities for surpassing client expectations and bolstering satisfaction


Strategic Partnerships:


  • Spotting the potential for strategic partnerships, agencies, and industry influencers, you'll be the matchmaker for business growth.
  • Develop and nurture these partnerships to expand our service offerings and reach new horizons.
  • Pencil in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to set up and reinforce these valuable alliances.


Sales and Negotiation:


  • You'll be at the helm of the sales process, steering it from the initial contact to contract negotiation and the final deal seal.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that leave potential clients eager to collaborate.
  • Get into the nitty-gritty of contract negotiations, ensuring the terms align for a win-win situation.
  • Collaboration is key; work hand in hand with internal teams, such as media planners and account managers, to guarantee clients are onboarded seamlessly.


Market Analysis and Insights:


  • Be the trendsetter, constantly monitoring industry shifts, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to pinpoint opportunities for business growth.
  • Conduction regular market analyses and insights gathering to sculpt sales strategies and pitch development.
  • Serve as the bridge between the market and internal teams, offering feedback and insights that fortify our service offerings and competitive stance.


Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in media/communications, marketing,  commerce or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree adds extra shine.
  • A resume that gleams with experience in business development and sales within the media industry.
  • An innate understanding of media channels, including digital, traditional, and emerging media platforms.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, vital for crafting and maintaining robust client relationships.
