MEDIA TRADER

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Media Trader? Join our team and be part of a dynamic media environment. We're seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of media buying, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to optimise campaign performance. As a Media Trader, you'll execute media buys, monitor campaign delivery, and leverage data insights to maximise client ROI.


Responsibilities:


Media Buying and Negotiation:


  • Execute media buys across various channels, skillfully negotiating rates, securing media placements, and adeptly managing media budgets.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with media vendors, publishers, and partners, ensuring access to premium inventory and competitive rates.
  • Keep abreast of market conditions, supply and demand dynamics, and emerging media opportunities to steer media buying decisions.


Campaign Execution and Optimisation:


  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including media planners and account managers, to ensure flawless campaign execution.
  • Vigilantly monitor campaign performance and key metrics, implementing data-driven optimisations to elevate campaign reach, engagement, and ROI.
  • Execute testing strategies and creative rotation to extract maximum campaign effectiveness and foster ongoing improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts and media planners to harness insights, making informed decisions for campaign optimisation.


Ad Operations and Trafficking:


  • Assume responsibility for ad operations and trafficking tasks, ensuring the punctual and precise delivery of creative assets to media partners.
  • Keep a watchful eye on and troubleshoot technical issues related to ad serving, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with creative teams and media partners to guarantee the accurate implementation of tracking tags and pixels.


Reporting and Analysis:


  • Regularly generate reports on campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Dive deep into campaign data, evaluating performance against client objectives and KPIs.
  • Harness media buying tools and platforms to extract data insights and spot opportunities for campaign enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts and media planners to unearth actionable insights and enlighten future media buying strategies.


Industry Knowledge and Innovation:


  • Remain at the forefront of media industry trends, emerging technologies, and media trading best practices, particularly in programmatic advertising.
  • Take a proactive stance in pinpointing opportunities to leverage fresh media buying platforms, tools, and strategies to elevate campaign performance.
  • Act as a knowledge beacon, sharing industry insights with internal teams to foster innovation and relentless improvement.


Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
  • A verified track record in media buying and trading, preferably in an agency or media-related role.
  • A robust comprehension of media channels, encompassing digital, traditional, and programmatic platforms.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, underpinned by the ability to nurture and sustain relationships with media partners.
  • Proficiency in media buying tools, software, and platforms.
  • Potent analytical skills that empower the interpretation of campaign data and the delivery of data-driven insights.
  • A detail-oriented disposition complemented by excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • A knack for thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-centric environment, where multiple media buys are managed concurrently.
  • A wealth of knowledge regarding industry trends, emerging media platforms, and best practices in media trading.
