Our client is a high-growth startup based in Sydney, with strong momentum and plans to expand into the US market next year. To support this growth, they’re looking to bring on a Mobile Developer who can help take their product to the next level.
About the role
The successful candidate will join a lean, talented engineering team and take ownership of a React Native application currently deployed on iOS. The app includes some legacy code carried over from an offshore build, so an immediate focus will be on modernising and improving the current codebase.
Longer term, the goal is to transition toward a fully native Swift app — so experience in both React Native and Swift is highly valued.
This is a hands-on role where the developer will be trusted to contribute to both technical and product direction, with real impact on how the app scales and evolves — especially with a US user base in mind.
Key experience
- Strong commercial experience in React Native
- Solid working knowledge of Swift and iOS native development
- A practical, thoughtful approach to modernising legacy code
- Experience working in a startup or small team environment
- Comfortable contributing to architecture and product decisions
- Experience publishing to the App Store
- Exposure to backend APIs or systems
- A good sense for UX and product quality
