THE BIG IDEA. . .
As the Interactive Designer, you will create visual design elements for the Internet and other digital media, and produce the necessary client side coding (HTML, Javascript, Actionscript etc.) to animate and enable user interaction.
You will liaise with the Head of Design, Art Directors, Project Managers and Developers to ensure that design fulfils a brief and functions successfully for various technical and performance specifications.
THE BRIEF. . .
- At least 4+ years experience as an Interactive Designer in one of the following areas; Interactive Design Agency, Advertising Agency, Print or Broadcast Design Agency.
- Expertise in the latest design software on PC or Mac. Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator skills required. Knowledge of other interactive and graphics technologies are encouraged (Video, Audio, 3D).
- Understanding of GUI design, information design and interaction design.
- Strong coding skills in HTML, Javascript, DHTML and Flash Actionscript. Knowledge of the capabilities of browsers and Interactive Design programs such as Flash, and design constraints of the Internet.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment. Comfortable developing ideas in collaboration with other designers and taking direction from the Head of Design or Art Directors members.
- Appreciation of brand guidelines and the importance of working within visual constraints.
- Visual and technical creativity and a focus on attention to detail and design excellence.
